Cigar Reveal #204

RoMa Craft
Intemperance BA XXI

“Following the ratification of the 18th Amendment, an intemperance movement was born. The Volstead Act had effectively turned every consumer, merchant and producer of alcohol into a criminal; organized crime took root. Without market and regulatory controls, alcohol became more dangerous to consume. The court system was brought to the brink of failure under the weight of criminal and civil cases related to prohibition. After a little more than a decade, public opinion had been turned and the effort to repeal prohibition emerged victorious with the ratification of the 21st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States … Despite the dismal failure of this ‘noble experiment’, the temperance movement marches on. Perhaps this is no better represented than in the form of the modern tobacco control movement, also known as the anti-smoking movement … In the last sixty years, this anti-smoking movement has grown in influence and power much in the same way the temperance movement before it grew. We believe that it is well past time to initiate our own modern intemperance movement.”

The Intemperance BA XXI is an outstanding cigar.  In my opinion it ranks as some of RoMa Craft Tobac’s best work to date.  This blend seemed to click very well in the short robusto format.   This cigar has some outstanding flavors and top-notch construction.   Whether a novice or experienced cigar enthusiast, if someone is looking to explore RoMa Craft Tobac for the first time – this is the perfect cigar to sample.   It delivers a nice flavorful experience right in the medium strength range. As for myself, this is definitely a cigar I will be smoking again.

Overall, the RoMa Craft Intemperance BA XXI Breach of the Peace was a fine smoke that offered a decent array of flavors and transitions through the journey. It did have a a couple of off-burns that required touch-ups, but amazingly, the ash never fell from those touch ups and stayed strong down to the final third. These are certainly worth picking up a fiver of and I rate this a 90.

For the last time, here are the flavors in order: Creaminess, sweetness, cocoa, spice, fruitiness, citrus, toastiness, nuttiness, leather, espresso, and cedar. The cigar has the perfect burn time for me. 90 minutes. You certainly get your money’s worth on the whole line.

I have absolutely no criticisms about the construction of flavor profile. The blend is perfectly balanced with lots of nuance, a long finish, and hearty and complex. This is a must have cigar. In fact, both the BA and EC are must haves.
