Cigar Reveal #261

Tatuaje
Skinny Drac

The Tatuaje Monsters series has been around for almost twenty years, with many different versions released over time. Among them, the Drac blend stands out as the most popular in the Skinny Monsters lineup, and in our opinion, it's one of the best in the entire series. The Skinny Monsters are a spinoff of the Little Monsters and Pudgy Monsters, offering the same blends as the larger, limited-edition Monsters but in a smaller size. Specifically, the Skinny Monsters come in a petit lancero format, measuring 6 x 38.

Stogie Review

The Drac started off with dark chocolate, black cherry, leather, black pepper.  The dark chocolate and leather remained steady throughout the cigar with the black cherry taking more of a backseat after the halfway mark.  The black pepper, as with most of the Skinny Monsters, is much stronger on the retrohale.

Halfwheel

The prerelease Drac that I smoked back in 2009 was a very, very good cigar, one that I still remember quite fondly. The Skinny Drac has a number of the same attributes that I remember in the original—most notably the raisin sweetness that was present throughout the cigar — but the flavors were neither as distinct nor as strong, and the overall profit—is noticeably more linear. A nice cigar, and one that I will be smoking again, but not one that I would buy an entire sampler for.

Since these guys are still pretty easy to find I’d strongly recommend picking up a few. If you like a fuller flavor cigar then this is the one for you. As far as lanceros go this has been one of my favorites so far. The flavor comes out strong and then settles into a nice rich medium flavor that for its size you wouldn’t think possible. Really an excellent job Tatuaje!
