Cigar Coop

While this is the first time I’ve assessed the Diamond Crown Maduro No. 4, the one thing I can pick out is the consistency and quality of this cigar. It’s not going to be a bold “in your face” Maduro, but in the end that is something that works in favor of this cigar. I found the mild to medium profile allowed the flavors to shine on this cigar – and the flavors that were delivered were excellent. This is a cigar that I could recommend to any cigar enthusiast at any time of the day. As for myself this is a cigar I would smoke again, and it’s a cigar I would buy multiples of.

The giant morph begins. Flavors do the mind meld and the Time Warp succinctly and clean. Individual flavors diminish as the cigar begins its next move. Houston, we have no problems. The cigar is now a concoction of all its been. Smooth and balanced. A perfect tandem of savory v. sweet.

Clearly, the undisclosed, multi-country 5 filler leaves are driving the bus. I still have 3 sticks left. It is going to be difficult not to smoke them over the next couple of days. Thank goodness, the DC Maduro is a regular production cigar.

The Diamond Crown Maximus is a cigar that really delivers when you stop to concentrate on what it’s delivering in terms of flavor profile. It’s complex with a nice sweetness that carries through most of the way, while giving varying amounts of pepper, earth, cedar, and citrus. It’s surprising that this comes out of the Fuente factory as it bears little resemblance to anything else they do. If you can get it close to the MSRP, I highly recommend it.
