Cigar Reveal #280

Cavalier Genève
Tres Delinquentes Connecticut Robusto

"Tres Delincuentes is a new face of the Cavalier Genève Cigars world for people to discover. Some time ago, Brian, Eylin, and I were in the car on our way back to our factory after a morning in the tobacco fields of Jamastran in Honduras, discussing the future. At that moment, a song was playing on the car radio from which two words jumped to all our ears. ‘Tres Delincuentes.’ The three of us immediately looked at each other and had that feeling of ‘this is it.’ After a good laugh, we got back to the factory and immediately started plotting Tres Delincuentes together. It had to be a take on us three as individuals, representing what Cavalier can be, influenced by art and music."

Cigar Obsession

Cavalier Geneve Tres Delincuentes Connecticut Robusto Cigar Review – This 5×50 stick features a medium brown dry satin wrapper with a large double cap and faint sweet hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with soft silky smooth smoke showing medium bodied notes of a dry, woody nuttiness and short clean finish. The first 1/2 burns very quickly but with perfect construction, just settling to a neutral woody nutty mix with a now normal finish. Ending at a fast 40 minutes the last half was unchanged to the nub dropping short chunks of ash all the way down.

Stogie Press

If you are a mild to medium cigar fan, the Tre Delincuentes Connecticut would be one you want to add to your rotation. This new offering from Cavalier Genève offered an easy to smoke pleasant and balanced experience from foot to nub. It was never over the top on any of the flavor notes but they were presented in an well blended array. I personally enjoyed the dry fruit notes and vanilla cream near the midway point. It did have a slight bitterness and papery note early in the burn but they lasted only a short few puffs. The burn and construction was excellent and well behaved carrying a long ash before dropping. Grab a fiver and check these out for a morning smoke. I rate this a 91.
