Cigar Coop

Overall, the US Regional Exclusive Toro is a very nice offering from Cavalier Genève. In terms of strength and body, the cigar has more of a European flair, but I can also see the flavor profile being favorable for the American audience. The US Regional Exclusive Toro is not an overly complex cigar, but the flavors produced are smooth and tasty from start to finish. Ultimately, this is a cigar I would recommend to any cigar enthusiast. As for myself, this is a cigar that I would buy and smoke again. This is a blend I look forward to smoking in some of the other sizes offered.

Halfwheel

On a few occasions, I’ve consumed Octomore, a heavily peated Scotch whisky. For those of you that haven’t had it and are thinking to yourself, I like Laphroaig, Octomore is not the same beverage. The thing with Octomore is that it’s all peat but not entirely peat. The few times I’ve had it, I’ve had to tell myself to navigate through the peat—which is overwhelming—find some nuance and then keep looking for more nuance. That’s not the same exact journey I found myself making with the Cavalier Genève US Regional Exclusive Petit Robusto, but the latter part is somewhat similar. You can choose to stop after two or three flavors, but the Cavalier Genève US Regional Exclusive Petit Robusto has more to offer so long as you are willing to keep searching.

Triple Cap

You really have to love it when a cigar takes you by surprise like this. My expectations were not low, but this one really out performed. Looking at the blending notes I was expecting something closer to an LFD La Nox, but this had a bit more subtlety and class. The flavor profile was cohesive, and kept it interesting. Construction really gets an A+. I can’t really tell if the gold leaf thing is a gimmick, but even if it is, it’s pretty fun. I liked how it stayed on the ash and didn’t just flake off. Overall, if you can find these, I’d pick some up. Personally, I’m definitely going to be paying close attention to Cavalier Genève from now on.
