Cigar Reveal #305

Valacari
Astronomia

The Valacari Astronomia is one of the most ambitious projects from Valacari Cigars, a brand known for blending creative vision with traditional craftsmanship. Founded by Nimmer Ahmad, the company set out to create cigars that reflect both artistry and innovation, and Astronomia captures that mission in full. Inspired by the mysteries and wonder of the cosmos, the Astronomia is designed as a cigar that invites smokers to reflect, explore, and push beyond the ordinary. Its name itself evokes discovery and the pursuit of knowledge, themes that carry through in the blend and presentation. Built with a dark, hearty Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan Ometepe binder and carefully selected Nicaraguan fillers, the Astronomia emphasizes richness and depth while showcasing distinctive regional character. More than just another release, it represents Valacari’s ethos of exploration and limited, intentional craftsmanship—an invitation to savor both the cigar and the creative spirit behind it.

Kohnhed

The blend is a great cigar for newbies that want to become adventurous. And a blend that can be enjoyed by throngs of sophisticates with trained palates. The second half just explodes with flavor. Strength hits medium/full with a vengeance. But the cigar is so smooth that I can ignore the nicotine spins. This is going to be a sweet 90 minute smoke. The blend takes its time with its progression. Dates show up for the first time. Dragging brown sugar, maple syrup, steak sauce, black licorice, vanilla creaminess, and chocolate sauce into the mix at Defcon 4.
