Cigar Reveal #326
Camacho
Triple Maduro
The Camacho Triple Maduro is one of the most distinctive cigars in the Camacho lineup and was first introduced in 2007 as a pioneering concept: a cigar made entirely from Maduro-processed tobacco — wrapper, binder, and filler. That idea came from Camacho’s Sal Fontana, who challenged the blender to craft a smoke where every leaf was Maduro fermented, a notion that was initially met with skepticism but ultimately realized. The result became a bold Maduro powerhouse that carved its own niche in the market and helped broaden what aficionados expect from a dark, rich cigar.
Crafted in Honduras under the Camacho brand (now part of Davidoff’s portfolio), this cigar takes Cameroon and Corojo seed tobacco through extended fermentation to bring out the deepest flavors possible, then blends leaves from multiple tobacco origins. The name “Triple Maduro” not only identifies its blackened color and rich texture but also signals that Maduro tobacco appears at every layer — an uncommon approach that emphasizes depth, sweetness, and maturity in the smoking experience.
