Description We don't need to go on and on about this one. Simply put: The Millennium is widely considered the best cigar from perhaps the most revered and well-known cigar company in the world. Released twenty-two years ago, at $25 this is still regarded as one of the ultimate celebratory smokes. For us, it's just blind tasting #129. Though Davidoffs are known for having a milder body and strength, this is one of their most full-bodied cigars, and it's also perhaps the most flavorful and complex. Davidoffs even have a flavor profile they are most known for, which is a grassy, barnyard type of flavor, whereas the Millennium produces much richer notes of roasted and sweet spices. But the real beauty in the Davidoff Millennium and what separates it from it's peers are the subtle flavors that sneakily makes this an extremely complex smoke.

(Top 25 Cigars of 2004) Many cigar companies created cigars for the Millennium, virtually all of them limited-production runs that are long gone. Davidoff’s is an exception. To follow up its one-shot series of Millennium perfectos, Davidoff created the Millennium Blend Series, four cigars powered by hybrid wrappers grown exclusively for Davidoff in the foothills of the South American Andes. Blend master Hendrik Kelner tinkered with the 5 by 50 robusto, giving it a blend unique to the line, and it is the best of the brand. The cigars are rich, strong and wonderfully complex. Like all Davidoffs they are expensive, but they are arguably the best non-Cuban Davidoffs ever made.

I still would assess the strength as a medium to full though – mainly because the cigar does settle down in the second half.  Still if you are looking for some kick with a smoke, this will not disappoint. This was simply an awesome smoke.   I would not hesitate to put this cigar into an elite smoking class – one that includes such cigars as the Padron 1964, Padron 1926, and the Opus X.   This is definitely a cigar that you should treat yourself to.
