Jericho Hill marked a significant milestone as the first Crowned Heads cigar crafted by the renowned My Father cigar factory. The inspiration for this blend came from co-founder Jon Huber’s deep connection to Johnny Cash, whose six-foot-tall metal print hangs near Huber’s desk as a daily reminder of the artist's influence.

“Cash has always inspired me—not just musically, but in what he represented as a man,” Huber explained. “He was a rebel with integrity and authenticity. I didn’t want to create a literal ‘Man in Black’ cigar, but I found inspiration in the layers of ‘Cocaine Blues.’ Hidden in that song was the name ‘Jericho Hill,’ and it resonated deeply with me.”

“Cocaine Blues” tells the haunting story of Willy Lee, a man who spirals into violence under the influence of whiskey and cocaine, ultimately killing a woman. His journey ends in Juarez, Mexico, where an unnamed sheriff from the town of Jericho Hill captures him. This dark, evocative narrative inspired the name and spirit behind the Jericho Hill cigar.

Early one mornin’ while makin’ the rounds

I took a shot of cocaine and shot my woman down

I went right home and I went to bed

I stuck that lovin’ forty-four beneath my head.

Got up next mornin’ and I grabbed that gun

Took a shot of cocaine and away I run

Made a good run but I run too slow

They overtook me down in Juarez Mexico

Laid in the hot joint takin’ the pill

In walked a sheriff from Jericho Hill

He said Willy Lee your name is not Jack Brown

You’re the dirty hack that shot your woman down.
