Civil Pleasures is a New-York City brand born from the friendship of four friends — who bonded over cigars — and decided to build a brand that fuses cigars with city culture, art, and community. Their first cigar, CP1, was launched in 2023 in collaboration with Joya de Nicaragua, one of the oldest and most respected cigar manufacturers in Nicaragua.
The goal of CP1 was to create a cigar that appeals both to enthusiasts and newcomers — offering a refined, smooth, and versatile smoke, while reflecting the brand’s modern, art- and lifestyle-centric identity.CP1 is described by Civil Pleasures as “refined, complex and smooth,” with a medium-to-full body and medium strength, aiming to deliver a satisfying cigar experience without being overbearing.
