Civil Pleasures is a new, New York City–based cigar brand founded by four friends (Sean Dorsey, Sharif Khalje, Cody Min, and Jesse Roth) who bonded over cigars and the culture surrounding them. Their goal is to merge lifestyle, fashion, and community with premium cigar craftsmanship. Their first cigar, the CP1, launched in 2023, is made in collaboration with Joya de Nicaragua. They say that the brand emphasizes “luxury with feet firmly on the ground” — i.e. refined but approachable, aimed at both traditional enthusiasts and newer smokers.
