Letters of Transit: Zanzibar
Letters of Transit: Zanzibar
As our third release for the Letters of Transit series, we are proud to introduce... Zanzibar! This blend is in collaboration with our friend and master blender Erik Espinosa, owner of the La Zona factory and maker of the Knuckle sandwich, 601, Laranja, and many more of the highest ranked cigars in the world. This is our second project with Espinosa. While our first collaboration, the Letters of Transit Provence, was a floral, buttery smoke, the Zanzibar is back to what Espinosa became famous for: bolder, spicier and full-flavored.
So why Zanzibar? As you know by now, the Letter of Transit series began as a project to recreate the essence of our favorite places in the world. Zanzibar, an ancient island off the coast of Tanzania in East Africa, is known as the Spice Island. That’s because after thousands of years of spice trading, spices like cloves, turmeric, cinnamon, nutmeg, and peppercorn are an intrinsic part of the island’s culture. So sit back, light up, and set sail to the beaches of Zanzibar!
