The El Centurion H-2K-CT from My Father Cigars is an extension of the original El Centurion line, which first debuted in 2007 as a limited release by José “Pepín” Garcia and later became a regular production line due to strong demand.
Introduced in 2015, the H-2K-CT version represents a meaningful evolution of that original blend. The defining feature is its proprietary hybrid wrapper, known as Habano 2000 Connecticut (H-2K-CT). This is not a traditional Connecticut shade or broadleaf, but rather a Cuban-seed tobacco grown under full sun in the Connecticut River Valley, developed specifically for this cigar.
The goal of the blend was to create something distinct from both traditional Connecticut cigars and the original El Centurion, offering a profile that is more accessible while still delivering the Garcia family’s signature spice and complexity. Blended by Pepín and his son Jaime Garcia, the cigar is produced at the My Father factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, combining innovation in wrapper cultivation with the brand’s established Nicaraguan tobacco expertise.
