Southern Draw Kudzu
Southern Draw Kudzu
Southern Draw Cigars, headquartered in Texas, was established by a lineage of seasoned tobacconists. Rooted in the rich heritage of the Southern States, the brand integrates traditional Cuban manufacturing methods, overseen by the renowned cigar craftsman, AJ Fernandez, into its premium cigar offerings. This fusion yields a superb selection of handcrafted cigars, with Kudzu, one of the first blends they created, being a standout example.
Stogie Review
Overall I really enjoyed the cigar. I was impressed as I was expecting the blend to be watered down in the larger ring gauge, but I was wrong. Robert Holt told me the blend was tweaked a bit for the larger ring gauge so that wouldn’t happen. I was dubious of this, but he was right. The flavor and richness was there just as he said.
Cigar Aficionado
An oily, box-pressed cigar with an even, open draw. Sweet and spicy notes of brown sugar, pepper and toffee are underscored by a foundation of nuts, wood and coffee bean. The cigar is rolled with a closed foot. 92/100
Blind Man's Puff
Overall, I really enjoyed this cigar, which surprised me because I don’t normally like a cigar with so much pepper and spice. The fact that it mellowed and transitioned into a nutty flavor really peaked my taste buds. I would definitely smoke this cigar again.
