The Futuro line came out of a unique partnership between two next-generation cigar makers: Kyle Gellis of Warped and Max Fernández, son of Eduardo Fernández, the founder of Aganorsa Leaf. Both men shared a vision for honoring traditional Cuban-style cigars while innovating with modern Nicaraguan terroir. Released in 2015, Futuro was meant to represent “the future” of cigar blending—hence its name. It was crafted entirely from Aganorsa’s vintage tobacco stocks, some of which had been aged and preserved in their private reserves. The Suprema vitola (a slender corona gorda) was chosen to emphasize complexity and restraint over power. This cigar was also a symbolic gesture—two young voices working with legacy materials, carrying tradition forward rather than merely replicating it. With Futuro, Warped sought to blend heritage and innovation, a constant tension in boutique cigar making.
