Cigar Aficionado has named a #1 Cigar of the Year every year since 2004. In the nearly 20 years, only five top-ranked cigars have used more than one country's tobacco. The rest only used tobacco from one country! And only one used more than 2 country’s tobacco in their blend. Say what you want about those lists, it’s hard to argue the quality and excellence of puros.
But still, whether puros are better than blends or not doesn’t really get to the heart of why we’re smoking them. We’re smoking these 8 unique cigars from 4 nations because... we love cigars. The lands, leaves, flavors, cultures. We seek to know these better. We desire to find the depth of each nation’s flavor. We are cigar hunters. Adventurers.
